Bollywood Reviews

Has a bollywood movie review misled you? All the movies released this year, as far as I know, according to the reviews is pretty average or a must miss. I usually watch the reviews by Rajeev Masand on CNN-IBN, I was happy about his review of KANK, but that was the only review of his which I approve of. His review of Hera Pheri 2 said that the movie wasn’t good. But later I came to know that the collections for that movie was great.

Headlines Today’s review of Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna said that the movie was awful, they did not say awful exactly but said something equivalent in a lot many words. They did not encourage the viewers to see the movie, that is something I am sure of. But look what happened, Karan Johar’s movie is bringing in a lot of moolah. The lady who reviews the movies in Headlines Today, as far as I know, has never recommended a Bollywood movie of late. But no movie-goer cares for the crap, that’s the reality. You may say that not many watch headlines today as Aaj Tak, still what’s the point of the review if no one cares for it.

So it seems that Movie Reviews are just a load of crap, if some majority has loved the movie there is a fat chance you would too. The other thing that I don’t get is that how come all the hollywood movies are watchable but Bollywood ones are not. I am ready to protest the reviews of movies, I think the cold hard facts of Box Office collections are pointers enough.

Narayanamurthy’s Exit

N.R Narayanamurthy’s exit as the chairman of infosys was expected for months. What happens to infosys now? NRN says that it is safe hands. I was watching the rerun of his interview on CNBC TV and I was pretty much convinced that Infosys was really in safe hands.

Nandan Nilekani & Mohandas Pai will steer the company into the right waters, he assured. I am absolutely astounded by the unselfishness of the top people at Infosys. The 47 yr old CFO gives way to the next generation & the Management’s faith in the young is amazing. It’s really nice to know that people like these are looking at the bigger picture and do not mind some Pro handling the company they started.

NRN has very much humbled me, Here is a man who runs a top company and aims to contribute to the country’s economy and also caring for his employees & the Investors.

Every Employee must be proud of being an Infoscion for sure. No wonder the whole country looks up this man. NRN has done so much for the country, and the thing that I learned from his actions is that to stick to the fundamentals of learning & never to be selfish.
